Homeward Bound
We packed up the rucksacks and then headed out for breakfast. Flight isn’t till 1:30 so we had the morning to go for breakfast and have a wander. Make the most of the warm sun.
We went back to La Flor Negra where we were yesterday as it was tasty . I withered as to whether would choose an egg dish but decided on the same as yesterday.
Finished up then had a walk which took us past a lovely bakery so popped in for some empanada type pies for eating on the plane for our lunch.
Got back to hotel and checked out and sat at the sofas and chairs at the reception area and had a discussion about what mode of transport we would get to the airport. Decided to get a Bolt . It was 11:30 and it’s a 15:20 min drive to the airport. The driver was quite chatty. He lives in Fuingerola but is driving in Malaga atm as it’s quieter down there atm. He mentioned that he works in Marbella when the season starts and didn’t wordwide gesture with his fingers for plenty tourist cash there.
Security wasn’t too bad just some numpties in front but all was well. Malaga has hundreds of check in desks, over 300 we could see. We had a seat and then walked on to Border Control for the passport stamp. The guy that did mine didn’t even look at me far less where he was stamping my passport. Thankfully I had given him a blank page. I’ve got two stamps that are on top of each other which is not tidy!
Downloaded some stuff for the plane to watch and as they shouted us to board (I wait till the end) bumped into Linda and her partner from the flight in. We had a good chat. She had bought two pairs of boots and more products and some tops and said she was almost over the 23kg checked case amount!
We weren’t sitting next to each other on the way back I was a few seats behind. When I arrived at my seat there was quite rotund man in the middle seat spilling over onto my aisle seat. I got my rucksack up in the overhead lockers and gave him a smile as I put down the armrest and claimed my space to be comfortable. He had to sit with his arms folded on the whole journey and also keep his mansplaining restricted to his side. I am not entertaining sharing my space Lol! Tbf anytime he forgot about the legs if I nudged into them with my leg he moved.
Border Force in the converted barn was adequate the machines seem to be quicker.
Passed by the conveyor belt with numerous cases going round and stood and watch a perky wee working cocker climb all over them with nose to the cases enjoying its work to sniff out drugs.
Good journey home. We stopped for a chippy tea and took some up to the gang as we picked up Lucca. Laura in bed with the flu. Could hear her hosting away…
