We’ve had a lovely day! Several options had been proposed but our old home area of Forest Hill was agreed on. A good choice.

We met Little Sis at the station and walked to Horniman’s Museum for coffee. Then onto Canonbie Road and our family home, then Fairlawn School where we all went to primary school, and then past the church where all four of us had got married.

We then continued to One Tree Hill and Honor Oak Park, favourite walking places with Dad. Then onto to find somewhere for lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant at Monday lunchtime.

Back along Stanstead Road to Forest Hill Station again. Full circle. Marion got the train back to London Bridge and beyond and Big Sis and I walked to the car, and home we all went. There’ve been lots of changes to the area over the years but much brought back good memories too.

A very simple day. A very good day, with another raised glass to Valerie.
