H is for Healthy

Had to phone the dentist this morning and make an appointment,  The little filling at the bottom of one of my front teeth has come off ( again ) so I need it sorted.  No appointments till 14th Feb... but I can manage till then

This afternoon I got the bus to Gateshead as I had an opticians appointment. My last eye test was only a year ago but I was told to come back in a year and not two so they could check on the progress of the cataracts.  I saw a lovely lady optician who did all the checks and said that the cataracts in both eyes were worse and I would need surgery.  She said that once she had written to my GP I would be referred quite quickly as the waiting lists weren't long.  However I don't want to have the surgery before April as I'm going on a trip then and would rather wait till after I get back.  So she will write to my GP and ask for me to be referred in May.  Meanwhile she suggested getting new glasses so that I can see better whilst waiting for the surgery.  I wasn't sure about getting new glasses as they cost £70 ( I wear varifocals ) but in the end I decided to go ahead. They will be ready next week.

After the opticians I did some healthy food shopping in the big Tesco... that's where I bought the items in my blip shot.

The Mono Monday theme is  Green, but in black and white ... so Ive blipped some baby cucumbers.  There were 5 in the pack - just enough to make the letter H.  Thanks to heanku for hosting.
