Celtic Connections day 4 of 4

Our final day and we had a couple of things planned. Breakfasted at the Riverside cafe again and it was just as tasty as previous visits. Linda and I headed to a danish shop which sells an eclectic mix of homeware, craft supplies and many edible goodies. Tried not to buy too much as space is very limited!

Met up with the gentleman to enjoy the Ciaran Ryan band concert. Very talented bunch. We headed off to the Barras for a nosy about and my eye was taken by a jewellery stall. The designer used old cutlery in her designs and I’m now the owner of a rather nifty necklace and earrings fashioned from spoons. Saw some interesting sights before heading back to the hotel for a couple of hours.

Dined this evening at Ting Thai Caravan where I chose the spiciest beef salad to start. Blew my head off and I was glad my main course was much milder (once I’d removed the chilli garnish).

Our final concert was the rather intriguingly named ‘When fish begin to crawl’. The RNSO played beautifully and the accompanying triptych film screen was very sobering.a bit more information - https://www.celticconnections.com/event/1/when-fish-begin-to-crawl/

As we were out of the auditorium by 9.30 we headed to Vronis wine bar for a nightcap or two. All in all a very enjoyable trip.
