Celtic connections - day 3 of 4

Another fine day of activities started with a very tasty eggs Benedict with mushrooms and spinach at the Wilson St pantry and was followed by a walk to Glasgow Green. We spotted a rowing regatta and as our friends have rowed in the past we went for a closer look and jet up with other friends of theirs who were down from Aberdeen to umpire the races. A fine chat with Carol and Ron and their two gorgeous dogs and we left to head to the Concert Hall for a lunchtime concert of past winners of the young Scottish trad musicians. Wonderfully talented individuals including Eryn Rae who plays the fiddle beautifully and is a member of Callum Beattie’s touring band.

Back to the hotel for a bit of chill time before heading to Sano pizza for an early dinner. We were joined by some old friends who are here for a couple of nights. It was lovely to catch up.

Our musical entertainment in the City Halls was Ceolas at 30 (link here for anyone interested - https://www.ceolas.co.uk/event/ceolas-30-celtic-connections/) which included some fabulous musical performance but rather a lot more spoken Gaelic than we had anticipated. Many of the audience must have understood the comperes but we were quite clueless. Nonetheless it was great fun.

I thought this sign on a pillar supporting a loading only sign was quite silly. Thanks to Apollofly for hosting this month.
