While on my runs

Eighty

Spent another hour this afternoon uncovering more pavers, and adding them to the stack.

Before all the redevelopments of the last year or more, there was a paved area which would have been partly underneath the deck which we have added. The builders created a pile of pavers, old bricks (from a broken brick BBQ) and such-like. They also added some soil over the pile which has grown grass and weeds.

Having cleared weeds and mess from the edge of the back yard, I started on the pile last week, aiming to use these pavers to create a terra cotta wall around a garden bed on the eastern edge by the bottom of the steep bank up to the neighbour's. Their cats run up that bank with ease, unlike any person. The rather sandy soil has been piled up at the northern end. Mixed with compost it should support plants. Also along the base of the bank I have spread the results of turning dry Ponga fronds and twigs and branches into mulch.

Looking forward to making the garden beds.
