Company on the Beach

Three 8am BlueTits had male company on the beach this morning- one BlueBall and two canoeists, the latter setting off on what they jokingly called ‘the jobby run’ because their route is from Joppa Rocks to a spot past the sewage disposal unit at Seafield.
It was a lovely dry morning with another red sky and a calm sea. Even the buses were cooperative!

To add to the perfection of the day, the balconists appeared this morning, I like to think as a result of my criticising letter to the management last week when I said the work ethic  of the building company involved left everything to be desired and the whole thing  was a shambles. That must have been enough for some strong words from the management to the firm involved. They have never worked on a Monday before.

Late yesterday afternoon, Stromness Selkie, Wendy S, and her Edinburgh family popped in to say hello. The decks were cleared so that little Eva who is now very mobile could have a clear run without doing damage to herself. It was lovey to see them all again..

I’m gearing myself up to chose a new washing machine tomorrow and praying that Ernie and his Premium Bonds turn up trumps  and help out with the cost. Wishful thinking!
