Mood board

Today was mostly spent planning house decorating - I'm fed up with the yellowy beige walls and carpet that is everywhere (not my doing at all!) not to mention the laminate flooring. I've been thinking for a while but every time I made a decision it seemed to involve more work and money and planning. When I say work I mean finding floor people / decorators / carpet fitters and the paint/ wallpaper/ carpet / furniture I want not the actual doing. I'm crap at DIY (unless it's furniture assembly which I rock at!) and more than happy to pay people to do a far better job than me in a far shorter time.

My sister is moving house soon (fingers crossed) and is also full of decorating plans so we swapped some house magazines - though not ideas as our styles are very different - and bought a load of tester pots. Decided on the colour for my living room and hallway, almost finalised plans for my bedroom and ordered a load of wallpaper samples. Am impatient to get started now and make my house a home.

In other news I'm still getting a few ants in the kitchen especially after rain - fingers crossed the powder / ant traps / me hoovering up their nest means they bugger off soon.
