Matilda Bay

I decided to do a bit of a reconnaissance on my bike this morning and headed off along the bike track that runs all the way from the Perth CBD to the end of Matilda Bay.  It turned out to be an 18km+ round trip and I came back via the Kings Park bush track for most of the way.  It’s an incredibly spectacular feature of this city that it has hundreds of kilometres of bike paths that take you to some of the most picturesque areas.  I haven’t even scratched the surface but today was a joy and of course it’s a bonus being able to stop a lovely cafe on the riverfront for an excellent Cappuccino:). I purchased my E-bike in 2020 and at the time sought advice from 59 and Mr59 as they had E-bikes and really liked them.  I’ve never regretted taking their advice and I think I’ve used it more in the past few weeks than I have in all that time.  Perth is definitely a “Mecca” for bike riding.  Thanks again 59!!
Stop Press - I had to take my bike across to the bike shop in the city this afternoon and still had my riding gear on.  I walked it over as I don’t like riding on the road in the city.  It cost me a new pair of cycling pants because the elastic went in my old ones and I was flat out keeping them up for the last 300 metres of the walk!!  I wish I had been able to video my little escapade :))))))). I worked it out they are 23 years old so they’ve done good service!!
