Point Walter
I ventured into Doyley’s territory this morning on my way from dropping Mauzee to the airport. I was meeting up with an old Squash pupil (who’s all grown up now :) at South Fremantle and had some time to fill in. It was definitely a trip down memory lane as I used to walk to Point Walter from Mum and Dad’s most mornings when they I was living with them there in my early 20’s. It’s a beautiful part of the world and I was fascinated to see two photographers sitting on their small stools at the end of the sand bar in the middle of the river. I wandered over and had a chat and I could see that it was an amazing location for photographing birdlife. I will definitely return. Mum and Dad’s home was just at the point where you turn off Burke Drive to head down to the recreation area known as Point Walter. I have posted an extra of the house that was built after Mum and Dad’s was demolished. It takes up every square inch of the block. I have no idea why anyone would want such a huge home. I’ve also added an extra of a dear little Oyster Catcher (one of many) who were strolling along the waters edge fishing for food :). Lisa and I had a wonderful catch up and it was good to have the time to spend reminiscing about our lives over the past 50 years. Boy, we covered a lot of ground.
