Concorde technical tour

For my birthday in 2024 Miss H and G bought me a voucher for a technical tour of Concorde at Manchester Airport, and today was the day.

I fell in love with Concorde the first time I saw it as a teenager, when on holiday in London I saw and heard it take off.

Many years later when I moved to Twickenham we were under the flight path so I often saw it - multiple times a day. From where I worked for many years we couldn’t always see it take off but we could feel and hear it. Planes were a constant sight but I always stopped to marvel at the sight of these coming in or out.

I have had a wonderful day, as G and the grand kids came out to the airport to meet us and then we went for lunch. Miss H missed out as she has been working today.
