Dark Space Planetarium

Today's the day . . . . . . . when science and fun collided

Took Tessa and Josie to the Planetarium in Kirkcudbright this afternoon - after a visit to the Swimming Pool this morning (see extra).

It was particularly relevant for Josie, as she has been doing a project at school on The Planets.  And, quite frankly, she was the star of the show when it came to the presentation by one of the guides in the incredible domed lecture theatre!  Unlike most of us, she had a fair knowledge of what the planets in our Solar System were and how they differed from each other.

There are lots of fun exhibits in the main gallery about Space exploration in general and plenty for everyone to enjoy .....................
