Unexpected!

A lovely sunny day but deceptively chilly. Walking home from church after a service celebrating Candlemas, I noticed one of my neighbours had daffodils with heads ready to drop. They were standing like soldiers as I think they plant them new every year.

Had a scout around our garden when I got home, no daffs yet. The early purple crocus looked good but hadn’t been in the sun long enough to open as they had the other day then I spotted something else almost the same colour.
The first of the Anemone Blanda has flowered. A delightful and unexpected find. They were a gift from another neighbour some years ago.  More to come.
