Rhubarb

First I’ve eaten this year, glowing pink baked in a dish with blueberries, less of a recipe more of an idea by Nigel Slater.  He also does one with sloe gin which is delicious but slightly too much when chilled at breakfast.  This is from Tender and was off the scale delicious.   Basically two parts rhubarb,tablespoons of sugar and water,  to one part blueberries.  Bake for 40 mins in 140C.  

Xtoph1, Sarah and Goose came for a cup of coffee and a chat but it went far too fast and they sped off to their next social stop on the way back North.  After they left I went into P’field to pick up the fixings for supper and came back to do a couple of zooms. 

Made a chicken rice and aubergine dish from Diana Henry and we sat down late to watch another episode of Paradise on Disney. Very good although it is still really telling story through world building and introducing its characters.  Read some more of my Scandi crime novel.  I”m going to like this one.
