Tlingit (KLING-kit)

Cedar bentwood boxes are made from a single plank of wood steamed until pliable and bent; the two ends are pegged together.

The Tlingit (pronounced KLING-kit) are indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest Coast of North America.

Scrolling back through photos I found this capture from a visit to the Whatcom Museum in Bellingham, Washington.
