Watercolour workshop

Headed off early to take part in a watercolour class on exotic plants this morning.  It was a Christmas present and has given me something to look forward to in the never ending gloom of January.
We started by doing a 'blind' drawing from a couple of photos on our page. We divided the paper into 6 squares. We then tried a variety of techniques on different squares.  It was good fun and so different to my usual approach to flowers which is very detailed. We tried wax crayons, salt, cling film and watercolour pencils as well as bold paint colours.
Very enjoyable morning.
Saw several deer on the way too.  They crossed the road in front of me.  It's probably the longest drive I've done in the electric car.
