A Work in Progress
Having had such a lovely sociable day yesterday, I wasn’t looking forward to the weekend with nothing in the diary. The daughter is off up to Cullen and so there was, I thought, no prospect of having company for coffee but the stars thought otherwise and I was delighted to be joined by my school friend of Ivy coffees who out of the blue joined me in the less salubrious M&S café. We spent 90 minutes gossiping before going our separate ways, she to look for corduroy breeks and me to go home and make a large pan of leek and potato soup.
This afternoon I managed to watch the Scotland v Italy rugby match in the 6 nations rugby league. Usually it’s too depressing to watch Scotland losing but somehow they managed to hold on to an early lead despite an Italian comeback in the second half. Time to crack open the Christmas present of Bailey's Irish Cream tonight and celebrate.
Nothing dropped into my photographic can today so I had to root around for a blip. This piece of crocheting is a work in progress and something to do with my hands while I watch mindless television.
