Frosty moss

Been very cold over night. Last week was a lot warmer and the week before we had a real cold snap. That is the strange thing about being here in France. Back in Leicester over 25 years ago I remember very long periods of cold and frosty weather. Over here we do get frost but for shorter periods between milder weather.
Like this time last year it seems we are also getting lots of rain again.

This morning is a fairly easy one for a Saturday. There was no need to be up at 6, but I got up anyway. I have just the one lesson this morning, at 11;30am. A second student normally at 10.15am, cancelled her appointment this morning a couple of days ago, as she isn't too well.
The third student is the daughter of our Polish friends Adam & Ewa. Normally she is the 9 am lesson. But as they were not available to celebrate my birthday with some other friends a couple of weeks ago, we've decided to invite them to a Chinese buffet restaurant this evening. So they'll come at 4pm, I'll do a lesson with their daughter till around 5pm. Then we'll go off to the restaurant later.

At least Mme MB won't need to slave away in the kitchen to do another meal for my birthday, which was afterall, over 2 weeks ago already.

She's doing taxi runs this morning, as my son is going to an education fair to help with his future decisions. He is also going into Paris to meet up with his University mentor - something he started a few months back. That is what they do now, if they choose to, they can be mentored by a student already at the local Uni. Unfortunately he'll have to do a "long" short list of Uni's for interviews. So it might be difficult to get into the local one.
