Callan Park

I took mum for her haircut this morning and afterwards we had a little drive through Callan Park.  It was a hospital for mental health in various guises from 1978 to 2008.  It is on massive grounds and is heritage listed and a wonderful place for dog walking as most of it is leash free.   At this end are some of the earlier buildings where I noticed this upside down dead tree.  One for silly Saturday I thought.

If you want to read more about Callan Park, wiki has a post here.

It is full of derelict buildings and I will have to go back again.  I came across this (first extra) either pond or well which had a harbour bridge over it which I thought would have been wonderful in it's hey day.
