Piano Man and the dug!
Alan went to PRI for a blood test this morning. Turns out it was a breakdown of communication between our Health Centre and Alan's support worker, who'd been told the blood test wasn't to be done at the health centre, but at the local hospital. Support Worker thought that meant PRI but it actually meant our little community hospital just behind the health centre :-/
There were no appointments left for this afternoon so it has been rearranged for when we get back from our wee break. Fortunately it's not an urgent blood test.
L came to do my nails. This will be my last gel polish for a number of weeks as I don't think my nails will be my priority in the weeks after my surgery. She's coming back two weeks today to remove it as it has to be removed before my op. She will give me a manicure but no polish, so at least my nails will be tidy.
After lunch I did some more packing for our week away and by 5pm my two lots of crochet yarn was packed, my painting kit was packed and my camera kit was packed, but no clothes were packed! Priorities :-)
By 7pm clothes were packed and all that's left for me to organise in the morning is my toilet bag, hairdryer etc, basically the stuff I'll be using in the morning.
As I went upstairs to pack, my blip is the scene that greeted me in the hall. The Piano Man serenading Lola. She's wearing her towelling robe as they weren't long back from her walk and she was a bit damp. D's singing some love song to her and her eyes are closing as she drifts off to sleep. As someone famous once said...there's three of us in this marriage! hahahahahahah!
So we're as organised for our break as we can be at this stage. Not worried about forgetting anything as we're only going an hour from home! Looking forward to it though :-))
Last day of January. I think it's been a quick month!
