The colour wheel in action...
As illustrated by Lola :-))
The colour blue is a primary colour, one of the foundational three colours, along with red and yellow. Its complementary colour, or the colour that sits directly opposite blue on the colour wheel, is orange. Orange is a secondary colour produced by mixing two primary colours, red and yellow.
The colour orange is what is known in colour theory as a warm colour and heat is often represented as orange, such as flames or the sun. Warm colours are thought to produce energetic feelings and are seen as bold and bright.
And here endeth the colour wheel lesson :D
All this talk of orange leads me to say that Billy finished painting Alan's Team's kitchen today. Walls painted yesterday, woodwork today.
When he left the sun was shining and I headed through to see the Blood Orange walls in full daylight. To my relief I love it even more than I did yesterday. It's the perfect compliment to the dark worktops and splash back and the crisp white woodwork and tall radiator.
Thankfully those who have seen it, love it (or that's what they're telling me :-) and once everything is back in its place on the work tops and there's some art / shelves on the wall, I will blip it.
D had a run down to Eyemouth this morning to drop off my chair and foot stools from our old set in the garden room, at LeeAnne's. Unfortunately only the small stool and chair would fit in the car so will get the larger stool too her at a later date. We look forward to seeing what you do with them lady. I am sure it will be superb :-))
On the way home he stopped at Straiton to collect my wheels. Alan and Penny went to Ikea in the afternoon and I think they just missed D :-)
Work started on removing our neighbour's tree from our garden. I think it's going to take a few days.
With everyone out of the house, I took the chance to look out my clothes for our wee holiday next week. Good to be organised. I am really looking forward to it and so happy it didn't have to be cancelled due to my surgery.
