Sliding Doors

I have only been in Anfield once but have supported the Reds from afar from my teenage years when Peter Cormack left Hibs who I was watching regularly, to go and sign for Bill Shankly's Liverpool.. 
Little anecdote. My parents were living in Liverpool when my mother found out she was expecting. They upped sticks and moved back to West Lothian. The reason I was told was in case I ever made a professional football career I would not be able to play for Scotland. Anyone who ever saw me play will no doubt comment what a wasted journey. Methinks they moved back for the support of family as I was the first child. 
On the positive side Cormack went to Liverpool, I could have been really unlucky if he had moved to Everton.( I jest in case any Evertonians are reading this. :)
