Sunset from Beacon Hill

I started the day baking two more sourdough loaves. Partly to get my hand in again and partly because we've visitors coming and it's nice to have some good bread in the freezer. One loaf to eat, one for the freezer, and feeding the sourdough to bake again on Sunday morning.
Because the oven was warm Jan also leapt into action and made a dozen mince pies, using up the mincemeat left over from the Christmas bake.
A bit later, after the sun had left the house, we headed into town. We started by driving up to the top of beacon hill. The photo is taken from the viewing tower up there, as the sun was going down. We are on the highest point (Beacon Hill) of the island of Härnön and on the far side of the South Sound is the mainland. The snow in the foreground is the top of the local ski-slope. On the distant horizon, 50 km away, is an island (Bramön) to the south of Sundsvall.
When we came down from the hill we did a little shopping, met some old friends by chance and then headed home, soon after it got dark.
