Uber
Not an amazing photo, but it captures a moment.
The Minx and I travelled down from Salford to my folks' in London, this morning, as my Dad's health is deteriorating. Milly also came across from her flat in East London to offer my Mum some support.
At some point, Milly realised her phone was missing and we used 'Find My'* on my phone to locate it. It became immediately apparent that she'd left it in the Uber that brought her to Mum and Dad's from Wimbledon station.
We tried to contact the driver, but to no avail, so while I stayed with Mum and my brother, Wol, the Minx and Milly set off in hot pursuit.
I must admit, we entertained ourselves for the next 45 minutes, looking at Find My, watching the Minx's phone, in the car with Milly and the Minx, and Milly's one, being chauffeured by the Uber, as they inched around South London.
At one point, Wol started sending instructions to help our team anticipate and intercept the Uber but we were constantly outwitted!
Happily, though, it turned out that the driver was a decent fellow, and he arrived at my folks' place to return the 'phone, with Milly arriving hot on his heels and in time to thank the chap personally. He wouldn't accept a reward but we finally outfoxed him by adding a generous tip to Milly's journey earlier via the Uber app.
Today's photo is of Milly and my brother thanking the driver.
