Sunshine
Another beautiful day. Clear and dry. Little Man had a lovely time at nursery. Today marks the end of his three day week at nursery. From Monday, he'll be going four mornings a week.
I had two of the ladies from my life group round whilst Little Man was away. We had a good chat. When they left, I brought some more wood in and pumped up my bike tyres. The back one felt a bit soft when I took Little Man to nursery.
We went to Bodegraven and Woerden to get some shopping done. We went via Bodegraven because I had planned to do some exploring but one of the bridges, spanning the Oude Rijn, was undergoing repairs and was closed, thus it was a bit tricky trying to find another crossing point with a phone that was still having issues connecting to the network¹.
I had planned to get the bus home from Bodegraven, but there wasn't a service running to Driebruggen from there, after about midday, without having to go via Woerden. So I got the train to Woerden and finished off the shopping. My sister, Hannah, has her birthday next week, so I got cards to send her, one from Caleb, Ed and myself and the other is from my parents. It would take too long for a card to come from Uganda (several weeks, at least).
We got home, and I discovered that the shoes I ordered on Vinted arrived safely. My cousin, Amanda, is getting married in August and so I bought a pair of Doc Martens with heels (see the extra) as they often take a while to break in. I wanted to wear Doc Martens as they're comfortable once broken in, but I don't think I'd be able to get away with wearing boots to my cousin's wedding (the women in my mum's family are formidable).
¹I started having problems with my phone connecting to the network, back in December and even though it does connect more consistently it still drops a lot faster and more regularly than it did before I started having these issues.
