Still not the wool for Paddy's jumper

Today I bought the wool for Paddy's jumper. I would have loved to have selected one of these hand-dyed yarns from the Ginger Twist Studio*, but the pattern that I am using specifies (much cheaper) Aran wool. My purchase is dark blue, somewhere between navy and 'midnight' with red and purple flecks. No doubt it will feature in this journal soon.

The mission to buy wool contributed to my walking exercise today. I went almost as far east to Meadowbank and north east to the Foot of Leith Walk. This evening I went out again, this time west to a private view in Stockbridge. Mr hazelh accompanied me on both outings.

This afternoon I created a new page on my blog to bring together links to all the Lorna Lloyd resources. My work was interrupted by a phone call from one of Mummy hazelh's friends. We had a lovely long chat that covered the main family goings-on in the period since she last saw my mother. This must have been at least six years ago because my father was still alive then. She also updated me on her three daughters, grand-daughter, and great-grandson.

Also today, Mr hazelh and I have been plotting some trips away.

*If you follow the link, you'll see the owner. She looks so much like the young version of Mummy hazelh.

Exercise today: walking (16,418 steps).
