Not Quite Dark

The days are getting longer again. This picture was taken at 6 p.m., with Venus in the western sky, and a blackbird singing the soundtrack.

I don’t have much to tell about the day, which was mostly about paperwork, bills and taxes. Boring stuff. 

It cheered me up to see that I wasn’t the only one appaled by yesterday‘s parliamentary session. Even Angela Merkel, who rarely goes public these days, criticised her own party for their alliance with the right-wing AfD.
Will her statement make a difference? Probably not. But it might slow down her party’s slide towards the right a little.
