Back home
A frosty night which necessitated some de-icing of the drive before Mrs M could go down the slope. It was a beautiful blue-skyed and sunny morning and a friend from the Photo Club phoned to ask if I wanted to meet him down at the seafront - he had a new lens he was keen to test.
We spent an hour and a half wandering about taking photographs and inevitably my Blip today is water based! The 'Isle of Arran', standing in for the 'Isle of Mull', which is standing in for 'Isle of Something Else', is seen passing the Islet of Rudh-a-Chruidh, partly attached to the Isle of Kerrera, on her way in to the berth at the Railway Pier. Many islands seem to be involved here!
Made my way home for lunch and sat in the sun for a while afterwards reading my current library book, 'The Dead of Oban' by Allan Martin.
Then it was back indoors to prepare and send off the images to the judge who will be judging, as they do, our Photo Club competition, 'Graveyards'. I had to laugh at Gritty's comment on my Blip yesterday about a deadline for this competition! I hadn't realised what I'd said!
Quote of the day: 'I work best after the deadline has passed, when I'm in a panic.' - Tony Kushner.
