Nature Diary: A work of art on a beautiful morning

After days of fierce wind and torrential rain this morning of clear blue sky and sunshine was a wonderful sight to see! 
With no pigeon food anywhere in sight these days this chap is a bit behind the times, but
maybe he's reminiscing of happier days when he and his gang would always find food here - if they beat the Herring Gulls to it. Not so many Gulls about these days though, and someone else is most probably throwing out handfuls of food for the pigeons. Good luck to them.
The arrival of cats with recently moved in neighbours has been keeping the little birds away, so now they only feed from bird feeders which are hanging on long hooks suspended high up in tall trees. Hmm.
