2025: YEAR OF THE SNAKE

Today is the first day of the
LUNAR NEW YEAR, also called
THE SPRING FESTIVAL. This is a
15 day celebration which begins on
the first new moon of the year. It
represents the end of the coldest days;
& welcomes Spring, which brings new life
& beginnings.

This festival is celebrated by 20% of
the world’s people, who live in Southeast Asia, US, Europe. This Spring Festival causes the largest human migration in the world, as families travel home. As with other holidays, special foods are prepared, including dumplings & symbolic desserts.

The Chinese use red decorations
to represent good fortune & happiness.

2025 is the YEAR OF THE SNAKE.
This year is about shedding bad energy.
Because the snake is a celebrated & revered
sign in Asia, it is expected to be a year of
“positive transformation as people slither
