TINY TUESDAY

We had a frost warning overnight, so our walk was very chilly this morning. Many plants that grow here are frost sensitive,
including BOUGAINVILLEA, so I was surprised to see these TINY, pink bracts
on this plant.

Hispanic gardeners call it
“God’s barbed wire” & if you look
closely, it is aptly named. This variety,
in a neighbor’s front garden, has a tree-like form & not a climber like mine. They both
have equally treacherous thorns.

This chilly morning turned into the most beautiful day this month—chilly, but sunny
& calm.
