Snowdrops
I had a bit of a frustrating start to the day, a plumber was booked to come sort a tap and the company texted me his expected time last night, so I knew he would be here first thing in the morning. However by the time I left the house to go to my group golf lesson, he had not arrived so I left a note on the gate for him. As I got to golf he phoned to say he was running late and would be at my house in about 40 minutes time, so I asked him to phone me when he was 5 minutes away and I would go home. After about 15 minutes of the lesson he phoned to say he would be at the house shortly so I had to leave golf to go home. Luckily golf is only 5 minutes from home, but I was frustrated to miss my lesson today. Actually not a bad thing as my wrist was already sore and I don't think I am meant to be playing until I get my wrist support.
Once the plumber left I went out to photograph these snowdrops, they grow in the same spot every year and luckily they were there again this year.
I found some fun accommodation for our one night in Joshua Tree National Park - it's a luxury airstream in an autopark, it sounds like a bit of a wacky place offering experiences like soundbaths and a cacao ceremony (so Californian!) but it's only for one night. It certainly is better than staying in a grotty motel with a noisy casino.
I am really enjoying my latest book, Only the Beautiful by Susan Meissner, I never realised that eugenics was also practiced in the USA during the war years.
