Good Hair Day!
This morning started with a visit to the rectory for the third of the kitchen designers who came to draw up a plan and quotation. I've managed to get some others of the congregation to take on the coordination of this while I'm away. It won't be done for a while after that, but hopefully it will all be ordered.
I popped down to Timpson's at Craigleith on the way home to have a key cut for each of them.
After a quick bite to eat I headed off to see Gail, my lovely hairdresser. My blip is of her salon, it's only small, but full of lots of lovely things. As she says, she spends so much time in it she wants it to feel like a nice place to be! There's always something new to see. I spotted her tennis racket mirrors today, how clever. She used to have a collection of Whitmuir Kimonos around too. If you look closely you'll catch a glimpse of Gail.
It's such a relief to have my haircut, it's nice and short so it is less bother while I'm away. I shouldn't have put it off for so long .
When I got home I got stuck into packing. I'd ordered some compression packing cubes (They were half price as they have Christmas pictures on them, but I really don't care what they have on them so long as they work!). They've been great for sorting things out, but the compression feature rather makes them into bricks, which means I don't have cushioning for fragile items. I'll maybe just make use of the packaging aspect of them rather than the compression. My cases are almost packed though - hooray - plenty of time for me to overhaul them yet though.
I discovered today that I'm missing my cousin from Sheffield by about 4 hours when I'm in Doha next week. She's on her way to visit her sister in Johannesburg.
