Falmouth RNLI Lifeboat Station has a new lifeboat. The George & Frances Phelon, a new Shannon Class is here temporarily as the stand in/training boat until our permanent Shannon Class is ready. She replaces the Seven Class, Richard Cox Scott which has gone out of service.
Having seen the two alongside each other I was asked about their numbers. With the numbers, the first two digits give their class and also are their length in metres, the second two digits their build number.
I was humbled to find that for Christmas 2023 Joshua & Tiana had my name inscribed in the ‘N’ of the RNLI on the Whitby Lifeboat.

Having seen my name in person at Poole as she commissioned I’m now looking forward to going to Whitby to see it in service.
