A new month, a new weed?!

The spell of heavy rain & grey skies subsided, & the hottest day of the year emerged, shimmering & hot once again.

Look what popped up in the garden this morning. Three rather beautiful, yellow flowers opened up on this very ordinary looking, randomly positioned plant. I must admit, I was very close to yanking it out & slinging it onto the compost, but sticking to Jen's pleas & instructions, I left it to see what it would become. Phew. She was right again. I'll never live it down.

Now, anyone know what our marigold miracle actually is???
