Cautious Friends

Sometimes Charlie is very aggressive with Jax, even going so far as to chase him (and not in a playful way).  Other times, like this, he seems quite affectionate.  During this interaction, Charlie even licked the top of Jax's head (and it did not culminate in a bite as it sometimes does).  They both seemed to be enjoying the heat of the fire and perhaps even each other's company.  Makes for a sweet picture, doesn't it?  One more in Extra.

I had to run some errands this morning and encountered a young woman with a 5 month old catahoula puppy.  She said I was the only person who guessed right away what he was so that started a conversation about the breed my experiences with Jax.  I enjoyed meeting the puppy, and also grateful that Jax is well past that phase.  How well I remember the teething ...

It's a little colder than I expected today with some wind so not sure if we will get out for a walk later or not.  Meanwhile, the weather forecast for Saturday continues to change so I am just going to wait until Friday to see if I need to change anything.  Meanwhile, I am starting to gather my photo gear - tripod, gimble head, battery chargers, rain gear and so on...  Rental lens is scheduled for Friday delivery.
