Grumpy Old Man

Off to sea

Another quiet day, some sunshine to begin with. I started clearing up the broken glass from the greenhouse, but inevitably some of the smaller shards disappeared through the slats of the deck and will spend the rest of their life in the soil on the top of the bank. Will have to remember to wear gloves when gardening there!

When MrsM came in with the car I drove down to the 'Glass Shed' to buy a couple of new panes. After the usual small talk the man asked if I was after greenhouse glass. I asked him how he knew and he said there had already been four requests this morning and he was completely out of 3mm glass. He could offer 4mm, but it was twice the price. So he took my number and said he would call me when he had new stock, probably in a week.

I was just finishing my lunch when the phone rang. The 'Glass Shed' man had found some glass and cut me two panes! So I went down again, picked up the glass and fitted it. A couple of the clips had disappeared, but I managed for now.

Another Blip of the harbour today with a yacht heading out and the Isle of Mull asleep in the background.  Unfortunately the sun didn't last long, but it was good for a while.
