A reasonably unusual day; Hyundai saga continues

A day of two halves. Morning was reasonably busy – even though we had a decent hour for a kick off for once (12pm). A good game against St. Anthony’s BU13, which OISC managed to win 5-4. Very close match between fairly even teams. OISC raced into a 3-0 lead and then took their foot off the gas, so hopefully lesson learned.

Back home for a quick bite to eat before Ottawacker Jr. had to head out for his goalkeeping practice. Mrs. Ottawacker took him as he was going to a hockey game afterwards – his cousin Zak is taking him to watch the Ottawa Senators play Utah. So, it was one end of the city to another – as the practice was in the east end at Blackburn Hamlet, and the Sens game is in Kanata. Part of me hopes it is an awful game and he hates it – the last thing I need is for him to start wanting to go to hockey matches….

After he had been dropped off at his uncle’s, I got a phone call from Mrs. Ottawacker around 5, telling me that her rear tyre had blown out on the highway. Thankfully we just joined CAA, so are now in the process of being towed to the same garage as we had all the fun with last week. Honestly, as I always say to Ottawacker Jr., if it’s not one thing, it’s your mother.
