WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

By lizzie_birkett

Tribute to Joni Mitchel

Wow! What a show.
Zervus and Pepper and their band - all from Wales - at Settle Victoria Hall (the oldest working music hall in the world!)
They are not a tribute band but this show was a tribute to Joni Mitchell.
The girl singer was so good you’d have thought you were actually listening to Joni. They went through her albums with 2 or 3 songs from each one and what I really liked was that they told us the history of the songs, where and why she wrote them and some of Joni’s history too.
The whole show took my breath away and they got a long standing ovation.
We are so lucky to have this lovely old theatre so close to home.

The weather has been horrible today.
We were up quite early this morning and before I even had breakfast I made big batch of Granola. I like to make my own as many of the ones in the shops have palm oil in and sugar.
Then I made a pan of veggie soup with mixed beans in.
After Frank had taken Bella walkies we both spent time in the art room with music on Spotify, which was really nice.
I also played ukulele for a while. I’ve been neglecting it due to the two courses I’m doing and the other art stuff I do. I must buck my ideas up!
Book and bedtime now.
Goodnight Blippers, keep cosy and safe.
:-)X
