Snowdrops at last
The lengths we Blipper go to to satisfy our cravings and bring you blip fodder. Thank you to Nogbad for adopting this approach to blipping.
As we stepped out of the door, the rain started and continued, cold and icy as we squelched and splashed our way around Bearsted to the Woodland Trust to check out clumps of snowdrops I knew were there.
Susan was dry when we got back. I was not. Despite waterproof trousers and top and I had to change.
We stayed in after that. I had the exciting task of updating my Railway Rules, Regulations and Instructions handbook by removing some 50 pages and replacing them with the updated pages.
Had a chat with Chris in California. He tells me it is raining where he is which is helpful from a fire risk point of view.
There were a few photos on FaceBook our meetings yesterday. The comment was “there are plenty of rain detectors in evidence” ie bald heads. While the majority of people are a certain male demographic we do have quite a few ladies as well as a healthy number of younger people. In fact one of our young volunteers has been shortlisted for a national Heritage Railway Association award in March.
