Last summer I lifted 3 of my old Amaryllis plants when the leaves had died off and cut them back before putting them in a container in the outdoor storage box. When I went into the box to get something out a couple of weeks ago I noticed that one of them was showing signs of re-growth (I had completely forgotten about them) so I planted all three into fresh compost and they are all starting to shoot and grow well.
