Winter tracks
Jan drove into town today for a Left Party meeting, while I stayed at home, doing white gym.
The snow had cascaded of the Red House leaving a long mound of wet snow along the side of the house, blocking the driveway. This means it is impossible to drive past the red House, up to our house. Since the snow had just come down, and the temperature was still above freezing it was possible to dig away the heap. If I'd waited until tomorrow it would have frozen overnight and been like concrete! Ho hum - I took it steadily and by the time Jan got home the driveway was clear right up to our house.
The blip picture shows the track where Jan drove away. I can assure you our e-car definitely has 4 wheels, although here it seems only three of them are leaving a track. Once I started looking carefully I figured it out.
By the time I'd finished the white gym it was getting fairly dark and Venus was shining very brightly low in the southern sky. Jupiter and Mars were also shining brightly, but only a few stars were bright enough to show in the gloaming. My astronomy app tells me all the planets were above the horizon apart from Mercury, but only the three mentioned were bright enough to show.
Tracks in the sky, tracks on the ground, and tracks in the deep snow. Winter is the time of tracks.
