Surprise!

There was a little sunshine first thing, despite what the weather forecast was saying, then the day caught up with the Met Office and returned to grey, windy & damp. I'd settled down to sort out some planning lists for the next trip when suddenly the light outside caught my eye - the almost-setting sun had reappeared and lit up the field and hedge behind the house. By the time I got the camera - and got to a spot where our own hedge is a little lower so I can reach over it - the effect had lessened a little, but the Blip does still show the effect.

PS There's a group of birds on the top of the tallest tree (to the left of the centre) - I can't see them well enough but would like to think they're fieldfares!
