Female kingfisher
It was fairly windy last night and we did have some rain but by this morning the weather had settled down. I headed off to the gym for a sprint cycle class and then a coffee with a friend. I was going to stay to Pilates but as it was a different teacher I realised she took a version that didn't suit me so I decided to return home.
This meant I had a bit more time so as we had an earlier lunch and the sun was beginning to vaguely shine we decided to go back to the estuary to see if we could see the kingfisher. We were in luck and saw her immediately in a small brook along the estuary. She then flew towards the bridge and settled down on nearby rocks and made several flights along the river. I was very happy to have managed to get a few shots of her in flight and hovering.
We the returned home and after a cup of tea headed out to Exmouth. We were seeing the Bob Dylan film 'A complete unknown' which was very well done with incredible performances. It brought back a few memories of those times.
