St Leonard's Tower

More often known just as the Clock Tower. The highlight in its history was in 1688 when William, Prince of Orange landed at Brixham and marched up to Newton Abbot, where he announced he was going to be the protestant King of England. the following year he did and that I suppose was when all the trouble started!

After a pretty wild night we woke up to calm day. Storm Eowyn had passed through and gone on its way. I had to go in to Newton Abbot for an appointment at the opticians this morning. That didn't take long. My prescription had only changed very slightly and as I'm quite happy with my specs I came on home without spending any money.

It seems as if it's been a bit nasty further North, I hope everyone's alright. I think there's some more nasty stuff coming in over the weekend.
