Blowing A Gale!

Today is the day of the kitchen rewiring. I have been at work, out of the way for most of it, fortunately for me!

It was pretty quiet on the Van, understandable really. Many people had been paid early in December and January is an expensive month. Plus the usual healthy resolutions tend to not include eating more burgers and bacon!

The very windy weather would not have help either. We had the customers who work in the nearby stores, but not many of the White Van workmen, many of whom would not be able to do their jobs in the conditions we've had.

The wind was whipping round the van, making the door bang, trashing the menu boards and making the van itself shake - quite alarmingly at times despite us being parked in a corner.

We shut up shop slightly early, once we'd served all the regulars who had ordered in advance. I did not want to go home!

Brian had messaged to say that the power was off, so I went for a coffee and snack in Costa coffee, where I sat and read for an hour or so. Once I'd had word that the power was back on I walked home.

My Blip was taken just inside the entrance to Greetwell Hollow. I didn't go right in, as I don't feel very safe there, but I like this shot the best of the few I took today.

The work is still ongoing as I type. The kitchen is being rewired now. Brian says he will clean up after, I'm glad to say..

Poor little Minstrel is locked away upstairs in the spare room. He has food, water and litter available of course, but he's not happy! It's past cat feeding time now too. He can have some treats tonight!
