Lounging with Rani

A very late (and thus too dark) ECB* of Rani on the couch next to me, on a day that started thoroughly frustrating. 

If you remember, two days ago I got the message that I needed to send a translation to the editors of my current project, which they deemed to be very important and urgent - so I spent every free hour in the last two days working on it. 

I was one page away from finishing it this morning, when I got another email, saying “the editors decided they don’t need it after all”. And, after telling me that I can throw away the work of two stressful days, they now want me to change and re-write another document, which also took me about two days to complete last week - so that’s now four workdays wasted, because I get paid a fixed amount per project and not per day. 

Early retirement, here I come.
