Rev Chalmers

This is an engraving taken from a book called ‘Scottish Worthies’ Some days, I do struggle for a suitable entry and other days, I have dozens of fotos.

One of my middle names is Chalmers. Dr Chalmers was the minister of Kilmany Church which is about six miles from Forgan.

Kilmany also is the birthplace of Jim Clark.

Pat and I developed a detail design to convert Kilmany Church into a home and the design has been constructed.

Dr Chalmers pulpit remains in place in what might be termed a lounge. Dr Chalmers played a significant part in the ‘Disruption’ of the Church of Scotland.

The years of Covid restrictions meant that we have never seen the completed work.
