Whitetops

The storm winds are driving the tide up the estuary and there is a good gusty breeze on the Promenade.
But up the hill where we live you would hardly know that we are in the middle of a powerful storm. I guess we are protected from south westerlies by the bulk of Arnside Knott and also by the three story Victorian house behind us.
I had no difficulty going to the village health center to give blood samples for what the Doctor calls the annual review of my chronic conditions.

But it is clear that people in Ireland and Wester Scotland are having a very bad time of it.
