Spot the Redwings

A cloudy day, but very cold initially. A very thick layer of frost on cars and houses. Quite quiet in the house this morning. Only one dish of food set out for our female cat.

The frost melted quite quickly. So dull for the morning walk, which matches our mood. As we headed up the hill, there were a small flock of redwings feeding in the rough area near the trees. The image shows two redwings. It shows just how well their plumage hides them from any potential predators. From a higher viewpoint, we can see a thick layer of fog along the Firth of Forth. Edinburgh Castle looking pretty dark as well.

After work, partner has a parcel to send, so we head to the Post Office first, then a quick walk along Cockmylane in the dark late afternoon light on the way home.
